I had a seriously proud dad moment at the weekend. We went to Southwick's Remembrance Sunday parade, so my daughters could join in with their Brownies and Guides groups on parade. My youngest was chosen as the Brownie representative to lay the wreath, and my eldest was the standard bearer for her Guides unit.
But the truly lovely thing about the Southwick parades is the elements of it that go beyond the veterans and local voluntary organisations. We have historic military vehicles — and the Brighton Mod group acting as outriders.
