Starbucks quietly pretends it never fell for the NFT hype

Golly. What a shocker. Would could ever have predicted this? Starbucks is quietly shutting done its NFT-based rewards program:

Coffee giant Starbucks announced Friday that it is shutting down its Starbucks Odyssey Beta platform, which provided NFT-based rewards minted on Ethereum scaling network Polygon.

The project never exited beta, after over a year.

Apparently pretend digital “stamps” weren’t as compelling as everyone thought…
